The Power of Prayer
As believers we constantly hear the saying, “Just pray about it” or “I’ll be praying for
you”. This has always rubbed me the wrong way; because I think to myself, “well
will they really pray about it” “will they really be praying for me?”
I am currently reading a book called "Fervent" by Priscilla Shirer and it explains how
powerful prayer truly is. We go through different seasons in life where times are
amazing, and times are very difficult but the remaining factor that we have is prayer.
The enemy wants to attack you in every way that he can and throw you off your
path that the Lord has you on. He goes against your passion, against your focus,
against your identity, against your family, against your confidence, against your
calling, against your purity, against your rest and contentment, against your heart,
and against your relationships.
Prayer is the FIGHTING WEAPON! We have the power through prayer to connect to
our Heavenly Father and fight against the enemy and any schemes that he throws
The funny thing is, the enemy can’t be everywhere at once, he cant read our mind
(only God is omnipresent) and he is merely an illusionist.
I have started taking my prayers that I have written down and I have start posting
them on my mirror. Being able to pray into them every single day and always having
it on my mind has completely changed the way that I view prayer. I have seen the
Lord answer so many prayers while seeing the enemy slowly diminish in his fight
against my heart.
Prayer is powerful and we have been given the weapon to fight for our faith!
“call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and
find ME when you search for ME with all your heart” –Jeremiah 29:12-13
