We launch, grow, and sustain thriving Christ-centered communities on college campuses. We’ve seen time and time again that community is often the catalyst for true Kingdom impact.

Foster Vulnerability

We aim to provide a space on college campuses for women to vulnerably share how Christ has been at work in their lives. We believe that vulnerability leads to breakthrough, and breakthrough leads to transformation!

We believe in going out of our way to pursue people. We intentionally invite women to be a part of our community and into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

We intentionally look for new, innovative, and effective ways of doing ministry. We’re not afraid to do things that haven’t been done before.

We believe in taking the time to bring others closer to Jesus while resourcing them to become strong and servant-hearted leaders.

The Delight Story

MEET OUR FOUNDERS

Delight started as a small community of women at Belmont University. Our founders, MacKenzie Bridges (Mac) and Mackenzie Baker (Kenz), had the dream of starting a Bible study for women when they struggled finding authentic Christian community their freshman year of college. That dream quickly turned into a reality when Delight had its first official meeting in August 2012.

THE BELL TOWER

This grainy photo from 2012 is where it all began. The prayer chapel at the bottom of the bell tower at Belmont University is the physical place where Delight took place and God began to move in the hearts of so many women. What started as a small Bible study quickly turned into a thriving community of 100+ women meeting weekly and chasing after the heart of God together.

DELIGHT TODAY

During the summer of 2013, Mac and Kenz felt the nudge to start Delight chapters on other college campuses. After a lot of years, prayers, help and hard work… Today, you’ll find Delight chapters on 200+ college campuses across the country. Delight is reaching over 15,000 women for Jesus each and every semester!

What we believe:

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God, written by human authors through the power of the Holy Spirit, and is completely trustworthy and authoritative for our lives today. We rely on God’s word to teach us, inspire us and help us to know and live like Jesus.
We believe in the one true God revealed to us in the Bible, who is three persons -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is Creator, Redeemer and Ruler of all. God the Father reigns over and cares for his creation, all are welcome to be his child. God the Son, Jesus, is the full revelation of God to us, he is our redemption, our truest friend, and will return one day to make all things new. God the Holy Spirit dwells in God’s people, sealing our salvation, guiding us and empowering us to live a life of boldness!
We believe God created humans to be in perfect relationship with himself for eternity. God created us with the freedom of choice, but since the beginning we chose to go against God’s good plan for our relationship with him; this is known as sin. Therefore, God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to reconcile us back to him. Jesus lived a sinless life, died the death we deserved, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the word of God. God demonstrates his love for us, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. We believe we are saved for eternal life by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. On Earth we are now workers for God’s Kingdom, ushering in his good news that Jesus saves and breaks all our chains!
We believe God calls his children to be in relationship with one another as the living body of Christ. This happens in local churches where Christians gather to worship God, to grow, to serve, and to be known by each other intimately. We know Delight is not the church and want to encourage college women to be connected to all types of gospel-preaching churches.
We believe in unity under the name of Jesus despite how divided our world and church is today. We choose to lay down our differences of opinions for the Kingdom no matter how difficult. We believe the church is made up of all ages, sexes, tribes, tongues and nations. We honor Jesus by loving others just like he loves them.
