LEADERSHIP CONTRACT AGREEMENT

We’d like to officially welcome you to Delight leadership! You are stepping into an incredibly important role and we are so expectant that the Lord will move in miraculous ways through your leadership.

Delight is a 501c(3) organization and is required to protect and honor the guidelines set forth. The purpose of this contract is to clearly articulate the expectations you are held to as a Delight leader from an organizational standpoint. If at any point throughout the designated school year you are unwilling or unable to follow these guidelines we’ll politely ask you to step down from leadership. 

If you have any questions or concerns about anything in this contract, we encourage you to reach out to your Regional Director or Chapter Development Manager before signing it. With all that said, know that we are so grateful for you and your leadership!

This contract is a formal agreement that I am committing to being a Delight Leader for the 2021/2022 school year. I understand that I represent a national organization and will be held accountable to uphold Delight’s leadership standards and organizational requirements. 

Leadership Standards

I will first and foremost pursue a deep relationship with Jesus Christ with a desire to live more like Him. 

I acknowledge that I am called to a higher standard and will reflect this truth in my everyday life and on my social media accounts.

I will be honest with my Delight leadership team and allow them to hold me accountable.

I will attend both the Delight Leadership meetings and the Delight Chapter gatherings held each week. If I am not able to attend, I will communicate this with my leadership team in advance with a valid excuse.

I will use the Delight Leaders Resources page to best understand and execute my role on the leadership team.

I have read and understand Delight Ministries “Statement of Beliefs” and agree to put other theological beliefs as well as political agendas aside while leading and representing Delight in order to create an invitational environment for all women on my campus to experience transformational Christ-centered community through Delight. 

+ The Bible 

We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God, written by human authors through the power of the Holy Spirit, and is completely trustworthy and authoritative for our lives today. We rely on God’s word to teach us, inspire us and help us to know and live like Jesus. 

+ The Trinity

We believe in the one true God revealed to us in the Bible, who is three persons -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is Creator, Redeemer and Ruler of all. God the Father reigns over and cares for his creation, all are welcome to be his child. God the Son, Jesus, is the full revelation of God to us, he is our redemption, our truest friend, and will return one day to make all things new. God the Holy Spirit dwells in God’s people, sealing our salvation, guiding us and empowering us to live a life of boldness! 

+ The Gospel 

We believe God created humans to be in a perfect relationship with himself for eternity. God created us with the freedom of choice, but since the beginning we chose to go against God’s good plan for our relationship with him; this is known as sin. Therefore, God sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to reconcile us back to him. Jesus lived a sinless life, died the death we deserved, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the word of God. God demonstrates his love for us, that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. We believe we are saved for eternal life by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. On Earth we are now workers for God’s Kingdom, ushering in his good news that Jesus saves and breaks all our chains!

+ The Local Church

We believe God calls his children to be in relationship with one another as the living body of Christ. This happens in local churches where Christians gather to worship God, to grow, to serve, and to be known by each other intimately. We know Delight is not the church and want to encourage college women to be connected to all types of gospel-preaching churches.

+ Unity 

We believe in unity under the name of Jesus despite how divided our world and church is today. We choose to lay down our differences of opinions for the Kingdom no matter how difficult. We believe the church is made up of all ages, sexes, tribes, tongues and nations. We honor Jesus by loving others just like he loves them. 

I understand that my fellow leaders and Regional Director can ask me to step off the team if I’m not representing Jesus well or upholding the standards that are explained above.
